| JCArtes is really an acronym that stands for "Jesus Christ, Arthur & Rachel Translation & Engineering Services". This accurately describes what JCArtes is all about. In addition, the Spanish word "artes" literally means "the arts". In the same way that people involved in "the arts" take their craft very seriously, JCArtes is committed to excellence and creativity in everything we do.

Arthur is a self taught Electronics Engineer and Computer Consultant/Software Engineer. In 1998, after many years of software engineering work in Windows, Arthur switched his focus to software development in the Linux community. This was the result of his realization that proprietary operating systems and tools would be a very big waste of time, given the fact that it is impossible for most developers to have any significant influence on the progress of such tools. Arthur soon realized that the quality of Open Source Software is from 10 to 100 times better than all proprietary software. And also in 1998 Arthur made a personal decision to put all future projects of his own under the GPL License in order to combat the evil influence of software patents.
Rachel is a very highly skilled translator in the English/Spanish language pair. For over 20 years she operated her own private language school in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Rachel is also one of the best "simultaneous interpreters" you will ever find.
