Perhaps there were other people that Bill Gates talked with who mentioned similar ideas to him. Arthur doesn't know about that. But perhaps it was Arthur who was at least partly responsible for some of the important improvements to the "context sensitivity" of the right mouse button in Windows NT 4.0, Windows 95, and succeeding generations of Windows.
One of Arthur's predictions is that Windows XP Home and XP Pro will soon become "unprotectable" against virus and spyware attacks through internet connections. His recommendation is to begin migrating to Linux, especially if you operate a business where internet access is critical. Arthur has for many years recommendied Fedora Core Linux to his clients, but since January of 2009 has begun recommending Ubuntu Desktop 8.10 as the most user friendly alternative to Windows.
When asked about his personal philosophies, you might hear Arthur mention that "Intellectual Property is an oxymoron". He might add, "Knowledge isn't really knowledge until it is shared". Or he might say, "Even the most original ideas are gifts from God, so He owns them, not you".
Rachel operated her own private language school in Buenos Aires, Argentina for more than 20 years. Her school was very successful during that time and she had many corporate accounts where she taught many employees how to improve their language skills, both in English and in Spanish. Just before her move to the USA, Rachel worked as a teacher for the largest language school in the world. She worked there for just over 2 years and they were very sorry to see her leave.
